Re: How does the point scoring work ?
Ok Simon I'll take a stab at it. This is my best guess so somebody jump in here and correct me if it's wrong.
From looking over the championship points as posted, it appears to me that 1st place receives 200 points + kart count. 2nd gets 190 + kart count and 3rd place gets 180 + kart count. 4th place on down then receives 5 points less than the kart ahead of it.
I'm curios though why the spreadsheet has some of the high points finishers highlighted in green yet others aren't. Could be the ones that aren't are not official yet or still under review I don't know.
From the 2009 Rules and Class Structure
3.6 One throw away is allowed; thus the race with the worst results will be automatically dropped in the final standings. A “crossover” race CAN be used as a throw away if all three races are run. Any DQ cannot be used as a throw away and will result in zero (0) points.
3.7 To receive year-end awards a driver must compete in a minimum of seven (7) club races in any ONE class. In addition, there must be a minimum of three entries in each of the seven required races. A driver must be a club member to receive club points. Points are not awarded retroactively from membership dates. ~Karl

I think the green highlighted drivers were all the ones that won the first race of the season.
